"Stel, we have a problem." I said as we walked into the apartment a 4-19 was called in.

"Whats wrong Athena?" She asked.

"This man was killed by Paul Millander."

"Who?"

"My father mentioned him time and again. Apparently this guy, Millander, goes around killing men whose birthdays are August 17."

I couldn't tell her how I actually knew him. She and the rest of the team would worry.

"All that leaves is where- ah! Here it is." I said picking up a tape recorder.

I hit the play button and heard what was supposedly the vic on the tape.

"My name is Jason Green. I would like to say I love you to my mother and I'm sorry to put you through this."

There was a gunshot and the tape stopped.

"Definitely Paul Millander. I've got to put in a call to LVPD."

"Why?"

"Gil Grissom is going to want to hear about this. He'll send people up who know this guy and how to track him. Go ahead and process, but if what I heard was right, you're not going to find anything."

After I'd finished Don came in.

"What do we have here?" He asked looking at me.

"A serial from Vegas. I was just about to phone LVPD to send some people up to help us track him."

"That's a good idea."

"Thanks."

I walked out into the hallway and took out my cell phone. It rang twice and then picked up.

"Ecklie."

"Dad? It's Athena. I need to talk to Grissom."

"Why? What's wrong?" He asked concernedly.

"Paul Millander is in New York."

I know it was terribly awful, but I promise it will get better as it goes on. This story invovles all three CSIs and they'll come into the story as it progresses.
